No. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. Department of State or any government agency. The official FSOT is administered by the Department of State; we have no role in test administration, scoring, or any subsequent assessment.
No. We don't guarantee scores, passage, employment, or selection into the Foreign Service. We provide a study tool — outcomes depend on you, your preparation more broadly, and the test itself.
FSOT Daily focuses on the Foreign Service Officer Test (FSOT) and not the FSOA, which contains the written exercise, group exercise, and structured interview. For assistance with the FSOA, we recommend FSO Compass.
Studying & content
10–20 minutes is the design target. Most users complete a daily set in that window. Doing more isn't necessarily better — consistency over weeks beats one heroic Saturday.
A small editorial team drafts items in the multiple‑choice format, with a difficulty range typical of the FSOT, references primary or canonical sources for each item, and reviews them for accuracy, fairness, and clarity. We also revise items based on aggregate user response data — if a question is failing in a way that suggests it's poorly worded, we fix or replace it.
Yes. Daily sets are mixed by default, but you can also run focus sessions on any single area — useful in the last few weeks before the test, or if your accuracy chart is yelling at you about Economics.

Account & billing
Yes. Cancel any time from your account settings. You keep access through the end of the period you've already paid for.
Privacy & data
Your account email, your responses to questions (so we can compute accuracy), and basic usage data so we can improve the product. We do not sell user data. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Yes. Self‑serve deletion in account settings. Deletion removes your responses and personal information from our active systems within 30 days; backup copies expire on a rolling 90‑day schedule.
